Kelly Yost was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, where she started drawing and painting as a young child. Kelly's painting ceased for a few years while starting a family.
Returning to her passion for art in 1997, she was introduced to soft pastels. She continued to work with this medium for three years, at which time her family moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2001. Since relocating Kelly has developed an affinity for watercolor and acrylic. In 2014 Kelly returned to her home town where she continues to explore new mediums, including oil and abstract acrylic.
Her passion for nature shows in her paintings. She enjoys continuously challenging herself by tackling a variety of subjects, having completed numerous commissioned works ranging from landscapes, portraits of people and wildlife.
